This week has been crazy. My granddaughter had her surgery on Monday. Needless to say spent most of the day at the Hospital. You know how you get stressed out.....Well the waiting and more waiting, then they take them into surgery. Thank goodness it was only an hour. Then it is wait in the recovery room etc. Finally we got to bring her home about 3:30. Then it was go pick up the meds at the pharmacy, get her settled etc. etc. etc. Tuesday was take care of Kristina day, make sure she had meds on time. Change dressing, ice knee, etc. etc. etc.
Wednesday was my turn. I had to go in for a biopsy. Ouch!!!. I am o.k. and doing just fine so trying to get some kind of post done today.
On to the tutorial.
This bag is made a little different than the two last week. The photo stinks but....I don't have time to redo etc.
The bag is made the same, I just added scalloped sides, a middle piece of cardstock so you could stick your gift card into the top. You really can't tell that there is tissue paper in it but their is.
Supplies Needed:
Two matching pieces of Designer Series Paper
Chip board that measures 3-1/2" x 7-7/8"
Sticky Strip
Bone Folder
Scor Pal or Ruler with scoring blade
Embellishments: punches,buttons, ribbons, brads, etc.
Before you start, decide which side of your designer series paper to be the outside of the bag and place it face down. You will be scoring on the wrong side.
Step #1
Score your paper at 1/2", 2-1/4", 4"
Step #2
Turn your paper 90 degrees and score at 2-1/4" Crease all of your score lines with your bone folder.
Step #3
Repeat steps one and two on your second sheet of designer series paper.
Step #4
With your 2-1/4" score at the bottom, you will fold your left corner up to meet the 2-1/4" score line.
Step #5
This is a little bit tricky so really look at the photo. Using the closest inside line on your right, you will fold it up to the 2-1/2" line just line the left side.
Do this on the second sheet of Designer Series Paper also.
Step #6
Place your Sticky Strip along the 1/2" score line on the front edge as close to the score line as you can get. (This will be covered by our other piece of designer paper so will not show.)
Place your Sticky Strip along the 1/2" score line on the front edge as close to the score line as you can get. (This will be covered by our other piece of designer paper so will not show.)
Step #7
Remove your protective strip and adhere your edge to the second sheet of designer series paper (the edge with no vertical score lines. Now remove the second protective strip and adhere again. You now should have something that looks like a tube.
Fold all of the little triangle areas that you scored. You can now see your bag bottom taking shape.

Place sticky strip on all four of your triangles. Remove two of the protective strips from one side and adhere down. Before you do the second side place sticky strip along the long edge, remove protective strip from all three areas and adhere down. I go inside the bag and press so I know it is all down tightly.

Awesome bag tutorial! Those are adorable. Thanks for sharing.
I had no idea that the bag is so big. This was a fun surprize and I loved how it looks. I used double sided cardstock instead of paper and was a little more hefty. Thank you for the tutorial!
Wow! Can't wait to try this out! Thanks so much!
